I received my training at H&R Block, and immediately went to work at Pat's Tax Service In Fairview Heights for 8 years. Pat was bought out by Martin Wier in which my job was transfered to Martin Weir. I worked until 09/11 and was laid off due to the bottom falling out of the investment market. I've been preparing individual income taxes for my friends and neighbors ever since.
I've never liked the way the professionals charged for their services. You start off thinking your taxes will be $50.00, and after they add all the extra charges your bill ends up over $100.00.
I charge a flat fee of $40.00 for your Federal and one state, and if your like my husband and work in Missouri, it's $55.00 for Federal, Illinois, and Missori. Of course, if you have some very complex taxes, there may be additional charges, but if you just one of the average working people out there, you'll get my flat rate.
