It's truely amazing what you can do with the EGG. You can eat it, cook with it, paint it, cut it, dye it, decorate it, and so much more. There are many different style of Egg Art. The art of Faberge' is just one of many and dates way back in time when they were given to kings and queens as elaborate jewelry boxes and special gifts to adorn their castles. They were usually lavished in real diamonds, emeralds, pearls, gold dust, fine silks and the finest of resources available at that time.
I have been an Egg Artist for the past 12 years and have many different ways of working with them. I decorate eggs for Easter, Halloween and Christmas. I work with many different kinds of eggs. Quail eggs, pheasant eggs, chicken eggs, bantom eggs, duck eggs, goose eggs, emu eggs, rhea eggs, and the largest is Ostrich eggs. I have worked with several different types of art on these eggs. The art of Faberge', the art of Pysanky (dying the egg in elaborate patterns), the art of cutting out the egg in elaborate patterns, Egg sketching (etching drawings and patterns within the egg shell), and painting on eggs. I sold my work for many of these years but the demand for my work got to be too much and only do it now as a hobby for myself and gifts for friends and relatives. Below are links to eggs pics that I do for different holidays. |
