NEGHR English Background of Some Early Settlers of Hampton, NH from
Ormesby, St Margaret, Norfolk, Vol 141, pgs 313-328
John & family were examined on 11 Apr 1637, and sailed from Yarmouth on
the ship Rose with Mr. William Andrews, master, arriving in Boston 8 Jun
1637. Settled first at Newbury, Ma, and were original grantees and
settlers at Hampton, Newhampshire, where he was made a freeman 22 May
1639.
