Henry was "Son of Joseph, reached Boston on the "James" 5 Jun 1632. Was a large land owner, owned the Tavern and ferries. Died due to a strange accident being taken from w. Sarah Abbot. They kept a home, not always serene. Extracted from Dict of Maine & NH , by Libby, Noyes, etc..

Dict of Maine & NH, Libby, Noyes, etc., pg 629. Notation under 4 Hon. Henry 8, "He used the arms of the Sherburns of Stonyhurst and in 1710 drew up a pedigree tracing thru Joseph of Odiham and Henry of Oxford to Sir Richard of Stonyhurst, who d.in 1513, this pedigree, enlarged and continued was filed at the Heralds college in London in 1770 by his grandson."NEGHR Vol 58, Henry Sherburne of Ptsmth, NH & some of his descendants - pg 227. Aslo m. Sarah Abbott, widow of Walter Abbott, no issue. Was a warden of of the church of Wng at Portsmouth, selectman, town clerk, treasurer and commissioner. In 1644 Gov Bellingham appt him Judge at Portsmouth.
ECD by Buck & Beard states that Gov. Bellingham appointed him Judge at Portsmouth in 1651, the General Court of Mass appointed him Associate Judge of "Straberry Bank" in 1660, served as Deputy to the General court at Boston.
