ECD by J.Orton Buck & Timothy F. Beard states that Henry was b. at Haighton about 1541/2, d. 1598, m. (second) Joan, dau of --Acton, of Oxford, a descendant of the family of Acton of Worcestershire. Henry left Lancs. and settled at Oxford abt 1565 in the parish of St John the Baptist over against Morton College Church in a house by him new built, formerly called Byham (but commonly) called Beam Hall.
