June 17, 2006 Lily's first movie. Today we took Lily to see the movie "Cars" on the Mega screen. She was very good during it and said "car-car" alot.
June 10, 2006 While watching "Play with me Sesame" they were explaining what echos were...she was in the room by herself and was running around saying "Echo! Echo!"
June 9, 2006 Today I held up a flash card of a cow and I said "What does a cow say" and Lily responded with "Moooo" It's amazing how all these little things just make your heart melt. She is also very addicted to books these days and her favorites are Goodnight Moon & Fox in Socks.
May 27, 2006 Talking Baby. Lily has been talking alot more these days. She's been saying things like "hot dog", "taco", "cheese", "car", "duckie", "thank you" (and that's just what I can remember her saying today) She's getting so smart and notices everything. Today my parents were coming over to pick us up and I swear she heard my parents car because she started pointing to the kitchen and when I carried her out there she started freaking out when she saw my parents car. It's so cute the things she does
May 16, 2006Lily's hat fashion show. While at Wal-Mart today, Lily decided wearing hats was fun. She tried on about 10 hats and I took pictures of her in some of them. She's so funny!
May 13, 2006 More Teeth. Today we noticed Lily got 3 more teeth up on top. That make 7 total teeth so far. Woohoo

February 18, 2006 Hugs & Stairs. Today Lily started giving out hugs both randomly and when people ask for them. She also crawled up stairs for the first time!

January 14, 2006 Lily's 1st Birthday! Today was Lily's 1 year birthday. We had a party for her at our house and it was alot of fun. Lily got lots of cool presents and had a ball digging into her own personal birthday cake. We had a second cake which was of course an ice cream cake from DQ so Lily also got her first taste of chocolate!
December 31, 2005 Walking! Lily took her first step today holding onto nothing. She's getting much more brave and standing without help for little periods fo time
December 25, 2005 Lily's first Christmas. Lily had so much fun getting lots of toys for Christmas. I have been opening and assembling toys everyday since then.
December 24, 2005 Christmas Eve. We went to Stratford to celebrate Christmas. Lily said "Puppy" for the first time while playing with Otis the dog.
October 30, 2005 Lily's First Trick-or-treating! Today we took Lily trick-or-treating for the first time. She dressed up as a monkey and her costume was really fuzzy and warm! We only went to a few houses though because it was rainy outside
October 21, 2005 Lily does new tricks! Lily now does the indian chant thing where you put your hand over your mouth repeatedly while making noise. She also has leaned to shake her head 'no'.
September 27, 2005Lily played pattycake with Grandma for the first time.
October 18, 2005 Lily's 9 month doctor appointment. Lily is now 19 lbs 14 oz. She's at the 50% of all things including height, weight and head size.
September 24, 2005 Adam & Patty's Wedding Renewal. Adam and I had our wedding vows renewed today with a big ceremony and reception. Lily was the miniature bride and she had lots of fun. Nobody remembered to give her a bottle all day but she was having too much fun so I the mashed potatoes Grandpa gave her were enough!
September 17-18, 2005 Wo-Zha-Wa. This was my first time at Wo-Zha-Wa in Wisconsin Dells. I had fun with Mom & Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Steve and Auntie Lori and my cousins Matt, Danny and Jonathan. They walked around alot shopping and got me some cute clothes. My favorite part was watching the long parade on Sunday.
September 3, 2005 Rachel & Marty's Wedding. Adam, Lily and I went to Rachel and Marty's Wedding in LaCrosse. Lily played with a little girl all night long and had a blast.

August 6, 2005 Lily's First Nightmare? Today Adam & I noticed Lily having quite a nightmare. She was shaking and crying then she woke up crying. It was sad.
July 31, 2005 Today we noticed that Lily sat up from a laying position all by herself!
July 22, 2005 Lily's First Concert. We went to a "Waterloo" Concert (A swedish Abba cover band) today. This was Lily's first time at a concert.
July 14, 2005 6 month doctor appointment & Lily's 6th Month birthday! Lily was 17 lbs 2 oz today and grew 1/2". She can now eat stage 2 foods which there is so much more variety for.
July 8, 2005 Laughing Lily. Today was the first time we saw Lily really giggle uncontrollably. Uncle Frank was playing peek-a-boo with her and she just giggled and giggled. How adorable.
July 8, 2005 First trip to the zoo. Today Adam & I took Lily too Jim Peck's Wildwood Park which is a petting zoo in Minocqua. She grabbed a baby bunny by the head and she got to look at many animals til she fell asleep near the middle of the zoo.
July 3, 2005 Lily went swimming for the first time today. We were staying in a hotel in Minocqua for vacation and we took her to the kiddie pool. She was very interested in what all the other kids were doing. She like the water and is sooo cute in her swimsuit.
May 23, 2005 4 month doctor appointment. Lily was 16 lbs 1 oz today! She also now is able to eat some solid foods...starting with cereal. We fed her tonight and she seems to like it. She opens her mouth when she sees the spoon. She's adorable!
April 23, 2005 Becky & Marks Wedding. Lily's first time at a wedding! She was such a good girl. She slept through the while ceremony and partied the night away at the reception.
April 11, 2005 Lily's first time in a bar! We met the top 10 teams in a bar after midnight Sunday to celebrate our first year in the top 10. From there we went to the awards ceremony & found out that we took 7th Place!
April 8, 2005 Lily's First Trivia! Today Lily started playying in her first Real Trivia contest!
April 8, 2005 Took Lily to the doctor today. Her eye was gooey and red & she was very congested. The doc prescibed some sauve to put on her eye 3 times a day. She also was weighted and was 14 1/2 lbs today.
March 21, 2005 Lily's 2 month doc appointment. Today Lily weighed 13 lbs 11 oz & measured 22 3/4 inches. She had to get 4 immunizations which she didn't like at all but she's a trooper!
March 20, 2005 Lily finds her foot! Today Lily located her foot, grabbed it & giggled. It was so cute!
January 31, 2005 Had an appointment at WIC today. Lily is now at 9 lbs! She's growing so fast. She is also now 19.75" long.
January 25, 2005 Lily had her first tub bath today. She didn't like it too much! Plus Adam and I had some troubles with her new bath. We didn't properly close it and we flooded our kitchen - twice!
January 24, 2005 My Nurse Robyn came today & weighed Lily and she was up to 8 lb 3 oz! She also examined Lily & said she is doing great.
January 21, 2005 Doctor fun! At 10am I had home visit from a nurse to check on me and baby Lily & to take out my staples. Then at 1:00 Lily had her first doctors appointment. She checked out well in all catagories - we have a happy healthy baby! She currently weighs 7 lb 13.5 oz.
January 22, 2005 Today Lily got her first sponge bath today. Today she also had her first car trip since leaving the hospital...we went to wal-mart
January 18, 2005 Early Tuesday morning at about 1:30am they gave lily the final dose of antibiotics and then got to take out her IV. It was so nice being able to hold her again without all those cords. The pediatrician checked on her later in the morning and since all her tests came back fine she was finally
released. We put many layers of clothes on her and squeezed her into the car seat (it was funny with all the clothes and her big puffy pink jacket. They wheeled me down and I got to see the outside world for the first time in days.
January 17, 2005 Monday I was officially released from the hospital but since Lily was still on the IV we were able to stay in our room. They only real change was that they couldn't administer drugs to me anymore and they didn't come in to get my vitals anymore. So Adam had to run to Wal-Mart to fill my 4
prescriptions which he didn't mind since being in that hospital room for so
long was making him stir-crazy.
January 16, 2005 Lily ended up getting a fever on Sunday so that
morning she had to have a few tests run on her including blood tests, urine
tests and a spinal tap. She was also hooked up to an IV so they could run
antibiotics into her. The test results take 2 days so they were just doing
this to be safe. They never really found anything wrong but they just
assume that she was just dehydrated. While she was in the nursery giving
her tests they ended up giving her formula though a bottle and she was very
happy with that. So, we decided to listen to my hungry baby and go with
the bottle feeding. She likes that a whole lot better and definitely sleeps
more. Lily and I took many little naps together at the hospital.
January 13-14, 2005 Water Breaks! At 10:00am my water decided to break. As I had not gone through this process before I wasn't positive it broke but there was definately something happening so I called the doc. They told me to come in at 11:30 to check it out. The nurse took one look and said that it was definately broke and sent me down to the hospital to get into a birthing room. They checked me out and I wasn't dialated yet and my contractions hadn't started yet so it was bound to be a long day...little did I know. They started me on pitocin (labor inducing drug) at 2:40pm and increased the level every 1/2 hour. After a Long time of contractions I was still not dialated at all. Eventually I went to 1cm and then 2cm but never dialated any more than 2cm. At 11am Friday they decided to give me one more hour and if no change had occured they'd do a c-section. Nothing changed so I was prepped for surgery.
Lily Ann Johnson was born at 12:26pm on 01/14/05, weighted 7 lbs 10 oz, and was 19 1/2 inches long.
I was still in surgery for much longer than normal because the doctors
had lost a sponge and noticed it after I was closed back up so they searched
and searched and even brought in an x-ray to see if the sponge was inside
me. They ended up finding it somewhere and I was very happy that they
didn't have to re open me up to find some silly sponge. So, once they
realized things were okay they sent me to a new hospital room and got me
into one of those not-so-comfy hospital beds. There I got to bond with my
brand new baby girl and was so incredibly happy to see her! They then
pumped some morphine into my IV which made me very itchy and drove me
bananas so then they ended up also putting benadryl in my IV also.
January 12, 2005 Ultrasound 2. Today we had another ultrasound to check on the baby's position and my fluid levels. Right away they told me that the baby was for sure a girl so it was nice to not be wondering anymore. I also had a doctor appointment with Dr. Jaeger and he joked that he was on call on Friday so if I wanted to give birth that day I could have him deliver!
November 6, 2004 Baby Shower! Today was my baby shower, hosted by Gwyn. It was lots of fun and we played lots of great games. I got many very useful and adorable presents and I can't wait to get the nursery going!
October 18, 2004 Flu Shot! Since I'm pregnant I was one of the few lucky people eligible to get a flu shot. They are only giving shots to Babies up to 23 months, Pregnant women and high risk adults. My shot mark got red and was sore for days but now is fine.
September 10, 2004 Wedding Day! Adam and I got married at the courthouse today. A small group of family and friends celebrated with us and many picts were taken.
September 7, 2004 20 Week Doc Appt! Just a general checkup today. Took my weight, blood pressure and listened to the heartbeat again
August 30, 2004 Ultrasound Day! We got to see our baby today with the Ultrasound. They weren't positive of the sex but she thinks that it's most likely a girl! See Ultrasound pict Here
August 9, 2004 16 Week Doctor Appointment. Today I got to hear the heartbeat again. It is so cute and fast. I also had to give them a blood sample which made me nervous but I still hate the blood pressure machine more. I scheduled my Ultrasound for August 30th so that's when we should find out if baby is a BOY or GIRL. We can't wait!
July 23, 2004 Baby's Heartbeat! Today Adam and I went to the doctor and finally got to hear the beautiful Thump-Thump of our baby's heartbeat. That was the most wonderful thing ever! After this I began to tell everyone about our engagement and the new baby
July 9, 2004 First Real Doctor Appointment. Had a physical exam with the doctor today. They tried to hear the fetal heartbeat but couldn't. The doctor had told me that they might not be able to because of my "extra padding" and depending on the baby's position. I was very upset because I wanted to tell people today about everything but decided not to until I heard the beat. Will have to come in in 2 weeks.
June 2, 2004 First Prenatal Appointment. Met with a nurse and received lots of information and a pregnancy book. Booked later appointments
May 23, 2004 Test 2. Today I took another pregnancy test, just to be sure. Yup - positive.
May 21, 2004 Pregnant! Today I took a home pregnancy test and found out I was pregnant. I also told Adam today and after the initial shock we are both very excited.
