Classroom Rules:
1. Listen to and follow directions.
2. Try your best.
3. Keep your hands, feet, and any objects to yourself.
4. Keep your desk clean.
5. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Discipline Policy:
Each child has a pocket on our Superbee Chart with 4 colored cards: green Superbee card, a blue warning card, a yellow warning card, and a red trouble card.. We begin each day with a green Superbee card. Yesterday's mistakes are in the past. A child pulls a card for continuous misbehavior. The following are consequences for continuous misbehavior. I do give children a chance to earn a card back. We all make mistakes. If a child pulls a card in the morning and shows self control and no more misbehavior he/she can earn a card back.
Consequences:
Green Superbee-no cards pulled/great day
Blue card-verbal warning
Yellow card-10 minutes of time out
Red Card-Loss of all free time (recess or free-choice centers) and a note or phone call home to a parent
White Card-Parent conference
*I will always write on your child's daily behavior chart why (if any) cards were pulled.
Friday is treasure chest day. Anyone with all Superbees or only 1 blue will get to select a treat from the treasure chest.
