| Directions: 1. Beat together butter and sugars. 2. Blend in eggs and vanilla (easiest if you add the eggs one at a time). 3. Add peanut butter and mix well. 4. Stir in oats, M&Ms and baking soda and mix well. 5. Drop by rounded tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet, 2" appart. 6. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven. 7. Cool 1 minute on the cookie sheet and then move to a wire cooling rack. Makes approximately 5 dozen cookies. Variation: For big cookies: Drop by 1/4 cup measure onto cookie sheet, 4" appart and flatten slightly with a fork. The dough can be mixed and dropped on a cookie sheet and frozen. When ready to bake, let dough come to room temperature, about 30 minutes and then bake as directed. The cookies can also be frozen after baking. |
