| Sweetheart Salad |
| Ingredients: 2 cups crushed pineapple 1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 tablespoons gelatin 1/4 cup cold water 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons strawberry juice 6 oz. cream cheese 1/2 pint whipping cream 12 strawberries |
| Directions: 1. Soften the gelatine in the cold water. 2. Heat pineapple with the sugar. Add gelatine mixture. Stir until melted 3. Add lemon and strawberry juices. Cool. 4. Mash cream cheese. 5. Cut strawberries into small pieces and add to cream cheese. 6. Mix in pineapple, adding a small amount of pineapple mixture to the cream cheese at a time. 7. Chill until slightly thickened. 8. Whip the cream and blend into the pineapple mixture. 9. Mold and chill. This will give 12 small servings. |
