| Nutty Shortbread Cookies |
| Ingredients: 3 c. flour 1 c. finely chopped pecans 1 c. brown sugar 1+1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1+1/2 tsp. lemon peel (finely grated peel of one lemon) 2 c. butter |
| Directions: 1. Mix flour, nuts, sugar, nutmeg and lemon peel. 2. Cut in butter with pastry blender. 3. Press into ungreased jelly roll (9x17") pan. 4. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes, until slightly brown. |
