Chocolate fudge with dried cherries

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons butter

2/3 cup evaporated (not "sweetened") milk

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 cups  mini marshmallows

2 cups (1 - 12 oz package) chocolate morsels (white chocolate or regular semi-sweet baking chips)

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 cup add-ins


Variations:

1 cup dried cherries plumped over night in 3 tablespoons Kirsch

candied red and green cherries and pecans

honey roasted peanuts
Directions:

1. Line  a 9 inch square pan (I've used an 8 inch pan and a 7x11 pan) with foil.

2. Combine butter, evaporated milk and sugar in a heavy, medium sized sauce pan.

3. Bring to a full, ROLLING boilover medium heat, stirring constantly.

4. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

5. Stir in marshmallow, chips, vanilla and add in of choice. Stir vigorouly until marshmallows and chips are
    melted.

6. Pour into foil lined pan and chill until firm.

7. Remove from foil before cutting.

Keeps will in the refrigerator.
