| Chili |
| Ingredients: 1/2 lb bacon slices, cut into small pieces 1/2 (or 1 small) onion 2 lbs. chili beef (beef coarse ground) 3 cans Blue Boy chili beans 2 cans crushed tomatoes 1 - 2 cans tomatoe paste 1/2 teaspoon paprika 2 teraspoons chili powder 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1/2 teaspoon cinamon 2 teaspoons garlic powder |
| Directions: 1. Cook bacon until soft (not crisp) in a large skillet. Remove from pan. 2. Pour off most of the bacon fat. 3. Brown the coarse ground beef in the bacon fat. 4. In a large crock pot or heavy bottom stock pot, combine all ingredients. 5. Cook on low heat most of the day. Garnish with grated cheese, green onions or chopped tomatoes. |
