| Beer Batter for Fish |
| Ingredients: 1c. flour 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt finely ground black pepper 7 oz. stale beer Cooking oil for deep frying. |
| A Buffalo tradition! |
| Directions: 1. Heat oil in deep pan to 365 degrees. 2. Combine dry ingredients. 3. Whip in beer. 4. Dip rinsed fish filets in batter and hold over bowl to drain excess batter. 5. Carefull set fish in hot oil and fry until thoroughly cooked and golden brown, turning once (about 5 minutes). 6. Drain on absorbent paper and serve immediatly. |
| Hint: Batter may thick, if so thin with more beer. |
