This is a collection of pages based on our trip of 2001. We took a driving trip through the Adirondack Mountains. The plan was to check out as many New York State campgrounds in the Adirondacks as we traveled. We also did some sight-seeing along the way. We took a raft ride on the Ausable chasm, saw the Natural Bridge, went down into Howe Caverns and spent a day at the Adirondack Museum. We even stopped at a few fish hatcheries. Bill took every oportunity to drop a line in many of the bodies of water that we passed. In touring the campgrounds we had an ulterior motive. We wanted to see if there were places we would like to stay in a future trip. We wanted sites that were separated from other sites for privacy. We also enjoy fishing, canoing and hiking so the campgrounds had to have these activities available. Our reviews are based on these criteria alone and are wholly sujective. Anyone reading these pages for anything more than entertainment value should take this into account. |
