IN LOVING MEMORY OF ROSE SKALA MY GRANDMOTHER Who is my grandmother, Rose Skala? My grandmother was a loving, compassionate woman who loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. My grandmother was always willing to go out of her way and bend over backwards for her grandchildren. I have many fond memories of my grandma. When I was young, one of my favorite things to do, was to sleep over my grandparents house. I would fall asleep to my grandma singing, You are my sunshine. I loved that song. And I would rise in the morning to my grandma singing that old army song (Reveille bugle song). My fondest memory of my grandma is when she took me to see the movie, Annie. It was summertime, so of course I wanted to wear shorts. She always said to me that I should go put on pants because the movie theater was cold, but what kid wants to wear pants in the summer. So of course I didnt listen, and went on with her to the movies. She then would make me sit completely straight in my chair with my arms on the armrests and my legs uncrossed on the floor, and she would drape my arms and legs with dispenser napkins so that I wouldnt freeze in the theater. Thank you grandma I love my grandma very much and though she is no longer here in body, she will forever remain in all our hearts. I know that she is smiling down on us right now and that her love radiates through all of us. May we continue to show love to one another as my grandma showed to each of you. There are many uncertain things in life, but one thing is for sure, Heaven just received another angel.
