Character and Personality
The following paragraphs concern the study of PATTI's personality, as induced by the positions of the planets and Rising sign. Some of the character traits mentioned may seem completely contradictory and incompatible. This is because the rough-hewn personality is a rarity. Usually, individuals are made up of a subtle orchestration of many different tones or aspects. However, serious introspection or detailed analysis should make it possible to distinguish the opposing or diverging images comprising PATTI's overall character, and perhaps, in time, find the best and most harmonious way to integrate them.
PATTI's personality is mind-oriented. She understands and relates to the world around her and herself via the medium of thought and intellect. Memorization, comparison, analysis, and the verbalization of her mental imagery are her favorite activities. She seeks to extend her personality by a mental outreach to a multitude of new ideas and factors, becoming acquainted with an ever-increasing variety of facets of human nature. Thus, language and symbolic expression, written or oral, are her primary resources in life, although they are also potential pitfalls. Her eloquence, wit, and verve, her mastery of language, unquestionably give her power over other people (via communication) and things (science and technique). But taken to extremes, this faculty may lead to incoherent babbling. It is thus vital for PATTI to find an outlet for her flow of verbal expression, she must explain, communicate, and speak. If it is dammed up, she will undoubtedly suffer. Her flow of words is the expression of her vital energy, the proof that she is alive and well. If she is forced to be silent, she would be cut off from the bonds that hold her together. A kind of duality or split personality might emerge... remember Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? " They " were a classic case. For all of the above reasons, PATTI is naturally gregarious and sociable. She makes friends quickly and easily. Her contacts and networks are important to her, because they enable her to evolve; they are a source of self-fulfillment and identification. Any form of play is also important to her, and only severe depression will deprive her of her playfulness. Finding a partner for play within herself in many cases, she sometimes amuses herself by acting out a variety of roles on the stage of life, just for the fun of it. Her animation and wit give her a talent for improvisation and adaptation. However, adaptability is a two-bladed sword. She is liable to find herself in a superficial bind, having jettisoned certain important ideas in order to move about more freely. PATTI is also sensitive, but her emotions and feelings are sometimes subject to the scrutiny and censorship of her intellect. Thus, she cannot free herself to the strength of great passions and energies without idealizing them to a certain degree and giving them intellectual resonance. Wary of her irrational instincts and urges, she tends to control or repress them. But she will have to learn that the intellect is not omnipotent, especially where instinct is concerned. Inhabiting a complex inner world, PATTI sometimes feels vulnerable, due to her emotionalism and sensitivity to the aggressions of the outer world. Because she relies first and foremost on her adaptability and agility to wriggle out of trouble, she may, on certain occasions, make rather dubious compromises with herself - all the more likely if her moral fiber is made of wax, as is often the case, instead of steel. The weaknesses she must overcome are instability, wishy-washiness, a lack of determination and coherence in her thought.
PATTI is sensual. Pleasure is important to her.
The ego which is available to others is no longer completely self-possessed. PATTI invests all her energy in her relationships and partnerships.
At the time of PATTI's birth, her Rising Sign was located in Libra , while the Sun was passing through the constellation of Gemini (the Twins). The fact that both constellations are ruled by the element AIR augurs a certain cohesiveness for her personality. A summary of the various clues mentioned above provide PATTI's personality profile; the following key words distill the essence of her character and indicate certain contradictions which may be sources of tension:
Sociability - Need for contact - Adaptability - Mental agitation - Emotion - Frivolity - Tolerance - Dilettantism - Peaceful disposition - Immaturity - Sense of harmony - Communication - Worldliness - Inner duality.
A friendly, sociable nature makes PATTI generally happy and successful in groups, but at times her nervousness and excitability make her appear irritable. Her feverish mind demands continual stimulation and ever-changing situations; she cannot tolerate boredom and routine. A pliant, flexible character which easily adapts to changing fashion, she easily keeps pace with society. A skilled but playful diplomat, she excels at never contradicting anyone, without ever committing herself to anything in depth. Her mental agility and intuition make it remarkably easy for her to interpret and convey; her verbal communication skills are clear and effective, and her compositions are harmonious and pleasant. The difficulty for her will be to settle on a single goal and direct her determination and thought in a single direction over the long term.
Born in the three-and-one-half days before the Full Moon rose, PATTI is said to be a " Gibbous Moon " lunar type. This " soli-lunar " configuration gives her a rich, complex personality, although she is sometimes troubled by the feeling she is struggling to do something great. Indeed, a feeling that she is lacking something may preoccupy her until she finds a spiritual or humanitarian cause worthy of her devotion. Devotion will be important to her as a foundation for her inner and outer development. If she fails to encounter a great and noble cause to which she is willing to pledge herself, she could always make do with a person whose aura and magnetism attract her. Whatever she decides, it is by working to serve a cause or another person that she will approach her own self-transformation.
Due to the influence of Mars dominating her birth chart, PATTI has a fiery, impulsive, confrontational personality. As a result, she will readily accept challenges and try to overcome obstacles, no matter whether she wins or loses. She must prepare herself by finding a source of true self-confidence, in order to enter the fray, be it social or existential, as fit as possible for her symbolic victory. She must never forget that she is the main instigator of the conflicts in which she is embroiled, and that she must respect her adversaries if she wishes to respect hersel |

Professional Diagnosis
A professional forecast is the result of a complex analysis. The human personality is so full of complications and contradictions that a given individual is quite likely to succeed in a field quite other than her primary sphere of competence; likewise, it is altogether possible for her to fail in what she had always been told was her natural calling. Moreover, psychological compensation mechanisms, which are entirely unpredictable at the outset, can make drastic changes in an individual's innate abilities (i.e. Toulouse-Lautrec's determination to succeed as an artist despite his physical handicap). Sociological data have demonstrated at length that an individual's destiny is overwhelmingly influenced by the social and cultural background into which he is born. But we cannot take such important criteria into consideration here. The intention of this forecast is to point out PATTI's true motivations, and the chief psychological functions which have contributed to her social and professional identity. We will complete the description with an analysis of her behavior and advice about the best approach to adopt in dealing with life.
Talents and Abilities:
PATTI approaches professional problems with serenity, which enables her to make objective decisions in critical situations. She usually trusts her intuition. Her daily work is sometimes poorly organized, and she may seem to fritter away her time in useless tasks. Her qualities are mainly emotional, and although she is sometimes criticized for not being direct, the accuracy of her observations and judgments usually end up winning her everyone's admiration.
Endowed with a great sense of organization and management, as well as many human qualities and great optimism, PATTI could shine in careers which involve project planning, or require an ability to manage and budget human resources.
PATTI is pragmatic, and figures that any work deserves a salary. More than most, she has a gift for speculation as well as a talent for money management. She rarely loses sight of her interests, and increasing her personal wealth is one of her main motivations.
Ambitions and Motivations:
As a worker, PATTI will follow her career plans with persistence and tenacity. She will seek out an occupation which provides security and enables her to make use of her humane qualities and her sensitivity. For example, she might be likely arrange her professional future to coincide or cooperate in some way with her home and family. Her attitude towards the outer world and the public will depend on her degree of personal insecurity. She is just as likely to strive for and achieve a certain popularity as she is to withdraw into her shell and work in the background.
The words that are her keys to success:
Exchange - Bind together - Diplomacy - Balance - Justice - Hesitation.
PATTI feels capable of achieving her goals alone, because she is the only vehicle for them.
PATTI will have to be dynamic and enterprising in her professional activity. Whatever field she chooses, she must not hesitate to put her best foot forward, and make a show of personal initiative and drive. The fear of committing herself totally, individually and emotionally, could be detrimental to her social success. On the other hand, excessive self-assurance, haste, or an uncontrollably competitive spirit could be a source of momentary difficulties. Moderation in all things!
Despite a certain apathy and lack of determination, PATTI intuitively perceives the opportunities which arise for her own personal social development and growth. She is eminently adaptable, and seems to have luck on her side. Nevertheless, she will not be spared phases of confusion and sometimes a feeling of hopelessness about her professional ambitions. PATTI is extremely sensitive to human suffering, and may find that her professional calling is related to the field of social work of medicine.
For PATTI, the work world must arouse her sustained interest. She has a need to commit herself to it personally, and everything she accomplishes has to bear the seal of her personality. Her ideals are fairly high, and she is liable to experience some frustration when they are not completely fulfilled. She has certain artistic leanings, and although she may not commit herself to an artistic career, the work she does produce will certainly display her sense of harmony, composition, and good taste.
Career Keywords:
Because she is so versatile, flexible, and proficient at exchange and negotiation, PATTI may find professional fulfillment in an activity related to communication or trade. Her lack of continuity and sometimes, of realism, as well as her struggle to control herself and attain a semblance of stability might, on the other hand, be drawbacks.
Instinctive Motivations:
Need for movement, contact, exchange.
Aggressiveness, femininity, need for power; destruction, regeneration.

Strongest Domains
Relations with Others:
The best companion or husband would be a dynamic but balanced person whose spirit of enterprise could tone down PATTI's erratic spurts of energy.
PATTI will seek a union sanctified by love.
PATTI takes great pride in her associates. In fact, they are one of her fundamental assets, because they give her life meaning and purpose. Without them, her life would not be quite so worth living. As a result, she tends to idealize and magnify her partners. It is also for this reason that fleeting affairs, " one-night stands " and other such superficial relationships do not especially interest her. She also aspires to give her partners something noble and valuable in return. Conversely, she is likely to make unconscious use of her relationships to enhance her own self-worth, tending to perceive the physical or spiritual beauty of her partners as attributes which entitle her to respect and esteem.
% tends to identify strongly with her childhood experiences. Her past is deeply imprinted on her, and linked to an array of warm, positive impressions, but it also conveys the feelings of vulnerability and weakness inherent to childhood. Psychologically, PATTI is ruled by the Mother-Image - that is, by a need for security and protection. The relationship she had with her mother, or a mother-figure, means a great deal to her. This image is associated with the idea of emotional security, but it may also be related to an insecurity about orality, the man, and food. As an adult, PATTI will probably find that men play an important role in her life. In everyday life, her mood follows the meandering of her feelings of security. She is sometimes hesitant and anxious; fairly passive, she is often borne along by events instead of causing them. Generally, she makes use of her subjectivity to perceive reality, and she is very sensitive. She likes change and novelty, as well as appearing in public, although she is sometimes shy.
PATTI is an agitated and restless soul who is rarely satisfied with things the way they are. She is a rebel by temperament, and tends to take issue with traditional behavioral models and conventional lifestyle choices. As a result, she is engaged in an ongoing quest for discovery and new experiences. She is extremely open and readily communicates with all types of people, without distinction or prejudice. In her eyes, the only redeeming feature of tradition is what we can learn from it, and the future will be bleak unless we manage to liberate ourselves from the past. She claims to defend an ideal of freedom, and her desire for independence is sometimes extreme. She is spurred to stand out from the crowd as a rugged individualist who leads her own life no matter what anyone thinks. Quite likely to embark on long journeys far from her native country, she will always be eager to ride the wave of the vanguard, to be out on the cutting edge. Because she is sometimes impulsive in thought as well as in action, she may not always manage to express her intuitions clearly and understandably, and her partners or close friends may at times be shocked. This may cause her some difficulties.
Material Assets and Resources:
PATTI seeks work which will engage her passions, and which makes use of her talent for exploring the hidden side of individuals or social relationships.
Money and work are of primordial importance to PATTI.
PATTI does not have a very clear vision of money and material resources. Her sense of values is sometimes confused, and she tends to value money either much more or much less than most of the people around her do. As a matter of fact, her relationship to the material world and the management of her assets is fairly surprising. For example, she has no explicit desire to gain social respectability by displaying the monetary rewards and gratification to which she has been entitled, because a certain carelessness effaces her need for security. Relatively indifferent to financial issues, she could be the hapless victim of fraud or deception, or, on the other hand, be amazingly lucky with money.
PATTI must deal with her tendency to manipulate others into allowing her to use their work for her own financial or material profit.
PATTI projects her psychological difficulties onto the social world and transcends them by pursuing her goals.
PATTI may face conflicts between her emotional urges and sharing. Money may be an obstacle to love, and sex is likely to be opposed to emotional urges.
One of PATTI's main psychological tasks will consist of accepting the transformations necessary to her adaptation to social life and to her emotional engagement in the outer world. She might try to effectuate a total renewal of her ideal as a function of her emotional and social experiences. This metamorphosis could quite possibly, if not probably, affect her career or the way she considers her marketable skills. On a more material level, the wealth and power she will have acquired as a result of the people she knows (especially from her husband) could be a source of difficulty and perhaps tension. Her way of approaching the distribution of profit, effort, and personal contribution within the group could be challenged. Once these reorientation in her viewpoint have been accomplished, she will have all the qualities necessary to become an excellent manager, capable of orchestrating a group's profits and energies and obtaining a maximum yield. At some point, an inheritance or legacy from a relationship or marriage could assist PATTI in her social life.
Emotions and Creativity:
PATTI's emotional needs and strivings are directed towards an impersonal goal, instead of a personal one. This goal may be friendship or universal brotherhood.
PATTI's creative energies are often oriented towards what will yield a profit of some sort. She may gain by gambling or stock-market speculation.
PATTI is fairly confident in her ultimate success and prosperity, even when she is experiencing hard times, because she feels that her life has a purpose. She may even feel she has a social mission to accomplish. She is a pleasure-lover, and could potentially engage in a joyful and prolific love life with generous partners. Her most promising career choices would include teaching and social work.
Cultural and Intellectual Pursuits:
PATTI will sometimes neglect details, but she is enthusiastic about exploring faraway destinations, whether they are physical or imaginary.
PATTI sometimes strives to transcend practical thought.
PATTI's aspirations may sometimes be betrayed by a lack of intellectual discipline.
Relationships (especially the closest one) are the basis of PATTI's thought.
Travel as well as intellectual and cultural activities may have some negative effects on PATTI's psychic life. They may be a source of self-doubt and futile groping for meaning.
PATTI's intellectual curiosity and open mind provide her with the means to grasp and manipulate with ease all the requirements for a gratifying social integration and a balanced personal development as a member of society. By continuing to be receptive to new or foreign concepts, constantly integrating more universal ideas into her personal philosophy and vision, she will evolve and successfully adapt to changing social conditions. She has a great potential to pursue higher study. Languages (literary or technical translations), law, and philosophy, to name only a few, are promising fields which could culminate in a professorship.
PATTI feels rather insecure in relation to the complexity of the outer world. She sometimes seeks to reassure herself by limiting her abilities to the study of a single set of details, a narrow slice of the whole. Proficient and expert in the field she has chosen, she strives to put her social or religious ideas into practice as part of her career. She has an inner loyalty to discipline and righteousness, and may fall back on moral principles to justify her affinity for hierarchy, rank, and dogma. She tends to be too strict and honest with herself to permit superficial relationships. Somewhat bureaucratic but conscientious, she deals with problems the old-fashioned, hard-working way, and tends to work behind the scenes.
Home and Hearth:
PATTI's personal life is somewhat overshadowed by the intense social activities to which she is so inclined by temperament.
PATTI is somewhat marked by her heritage, but she will derive her own identity from herself in the here-and-no |

Dominant Astrological Characteristics
Mars is the first dominant in PATTI's astral chart. In the following paragraph, we shall indicate the significance of this fact:
In the Greek tradition Mars or Aries was the god of war. Traditional astrology associates him with the element Fire, the color red, and the taste of bitterness. Although he also symbolizes the elder brother in the cosmic family, he is more likely to be associated with declared enemies or adversaries. Martian morphology is typically virile, angular, and athletic, and corresponds to aggressive, domineering, masculine behavior. Likewise, Mars is usually associated with rage, its resultant brutality, and male destructiveness and domination. Psychologically, Mars figures in any situation of conflict, opposition, and confrontation. Martian symbolism intervenes to separate, oppose, and decide... and corresponds to duels, war, and any situation in real life which involves confronting an obstacle. Individuals who are greatly influenced by Mars are typically direct and straightforward: either unabashedly extroverted or furiously introverted. They are extremely active and extremely emotive. Their purpose in life seems to be inextricably mingled with a combat against an unacceptable situation, a challenge which they either issue or are forced to accept.
Uranus is the second dominant in PATTI's astral chart. In the following paragraph, we shall indicate the significance of this fact:
This planet symbolizes the principle of independence and self-sufficiency, as well as a principle of transformation. Its most striking characteristic is distance from others: the Uranian strives to stand out from the herd, and distances herself from structuring influences like convention, tradition, etc. Although this need to free herself from the confines of convention, tradition, and family symbolizes an appeal for freedom and a desire to evolve beyond the bounds of physical limits towards a spiritual dimension, it may also correspond to a form of escape. This is why PATTI sometimes needs to cut herself off from situations or relationships which feel stifling to her. Her intense fear of being swallowed up psychologically causes her to react to certain emotional demands by making herself remote or running away. She needs a lot of space and frequent change. In a relationship, she is seeking a certain degree of intellectual excitement. Without it, she feels as though an unbearable, suffocating boredom sets in. By refusing certain concessions to convention which are practically inevitable, she may find herself in unpleasant situations. Finding an intelligent alternative to the routine set by the rigid forms of the past is extremely different from rebelling against any form of authority, in the settings of family, school, business, or society. One of the major problems PATTI has to solve is how to wield her freedom, in her emotional relationships as well as her relationships with society.
Venus is the third dominant in PATTI's astral chart. In the following paragraph, we shall indicate the significance of this fact:
In traditional astrology, Venus (or Aphrodite, her Greek name) is the planet of love. A source of universal attraction, this planet corresponds to the original urge which bonds two human beings together in love. Venus is thus both the magnetism which brings human beings together (not lust, which is symbolized by Mars, but the object which attracts lust) and the gift of love. This ambiguity is interpreted astrologically by the fact that Venus rules two houses of the Zodiac: in Taurus, Venus symbolizes the awakening to bodily lust, and in Libra, the bond of marriage. As a result, Venus may take on very different aspects depending on the individual's degree of awareness. Likewise, this ambiguity explains Aphrodite's equivocal conduct in Greek myth and her innumerable couplings and motherhood. Depending on the legend, she may embody brutal, passionate love (with Anteros), the wisdom of the heart which rescues from passion (Harmonia); she also becomes tenderness and purity (with Adonis), pure sexuality (with Eros), a transforming energy (with Vulcan), etc. Mistress of the Arts, she represents beauty, understanding, and peace. Psychologically, the individuals under the influence of Venus are struggling with their love instincts. This is why PATTI cannot conceive of living without a personal emotional relationship to someone else and sometimes fears solitude and the encounter with herself. She is extremely attractive to others, and is a creator and artistic genius who seems to imbue all she touches with beauty and harmony. Her artistic skills are obvious to the people around her, and may be applied to career endeavors. Pleasure, outings, seduction, love, and a thriving but sometimes superficial social life are the hallmarks of her life. Nevertheless, one day she will have to learn to give out of the goodness of her heart, and not as a means of seductio |

Synthesis and Advice
Many people mistakenly believe that astrology is too deterministic. However, as even the ancients said, " The stars incline but do not determine. " In fact, the astral chart is evidence that each of us is accountable only to himself for his life and his destiny. Neither heaven nor the occasional shell of human contacts can be held responsible for the situation down here on Earth. Astrology shows us that life is what we make of it: all we really obtain is what we decide to accomplish ourselves, of our own volition.
If PATTI really wants to improve and transform herself, the first step is to become aware of the weaknesses which may be holding her back and preventing her evolution: - her shallowness bordering on superficiality - her lack of sincerity - her indifference - her frivolity - her fear of commitment
For PATTI, the main goal to aim for, in order to give purpose and meaning to her life, is to become aware of the resources that were her birthright (in material, psychological, and physiological terms) to make the wisest use of them. Her inclination to count on other people, their skills or assets, while neglecting to try to use and enhance her own knowledge, abilities, and inner (and outer) wealth, is merely the easy way ou |
