Studying Arranging under Dr. J.W. Davis (Edgewood College, Madison, Wisconsin), we were encouraged to “write like crazy” all the time. Some of these projects were original compositions, and others were pieces assigned to us to arrange for specific voicings.  In this show tune arrangement, I was awarded It Might As Well Be Spring, and had arrange it (from the original arrangement, also sampled above) for both string quartet (2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello) and instrumental quartet (1 trumpet, 1 horn in F, 1 alto saxophone, 1 tenor saxophone).
