When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

When tomorrow starts without me And I'm not there to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me...
I wish so much you wouldn't cry The way you did today, While thinking of the many things, We didn't get to say...
I know how much you love me, As much as I love you, And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too...
But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, That an angel came and called my name And took me by the hand...
And said my place was ready, In heaven far above, And that I'd have to leave behind, All those I dearly love...
But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home, When God looked down and smiled at me From His great golden throne...
He said, "This is eternity And all I've promised you, Today for life on earth is past, But here it starts anew...
I promise no tomorrow For today will always last, And since each day's the same way There's no longing for the past...
So when tomorrow starts without me, Don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me I'm right here in your heart...

I Relax and Rest...God gives Me Peaceful Sleep

In God's perfect plan for me, there is a time to work and play, a time for me to give my best efforts and a time for me to rest. As I work with the orderly rhythm of God's plan, I live a well-balanced, satisfying life.

When it is time for me to work, I concentrate all my abilities on the task at hand. When it is time for me to play, I dissmiss all thoughts of work from my mind and enjoy my recreation thoroughly. When it it time for me to rest, I place the day's activities in God's hands and accept His gift of peaceful sleep.

I prepare for my rest by letting my mind dwell on only pleasant thoughts. If any anxious thought presses in on me, I bless it and release it to God. I know that in His perfect wisdom everything will be taken care of in an orderly way. I relax and rest in the ever-watchful care of my loving Father. God gives me peaceful sleep.

When thou liest down, thou shall not be afraid: Yes, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Proverbs: 3:24

Quote from my Grandmother: For this I thank Him each day...For His loving care.

A Thankful Prayer

Dear Father, I know You will be with me throughout this day. I know You will work in and through me so so that I can express my highest self. I give thanks that I am a channel through which You are revealed. I give thanks, too, that You help me to inspire others to acquaint themselves with Your presence within them.

I thank You, Father, that I can serve You and my fellow man capably in my environment or situation. I know that I am always in my right place in Your universe and that Your power is mine to use for the highest good of all.

I thank You, Father, that I can think Your thoughts after You and with these thoughts I mold the world in which I live. Employing thoughts of love and joy and faith, I build a life worthy of Your grace and glory.
I thank You, Father, for the opportunity to turn often to You in prayer. As we commune, I feel and accept Your willingness to express Your-self through me and all of Your children.

Amen

A Blessing!

The man whispered, "God, speak to me" And a meadowlark sang, but the man did not hear...
So the man yelled, "God, speak to me!" And the thunder rolled across the sky, but the man did not listen...
The man looked around and said, "God, let me see You" And a star shone brightly, but the man did not notice...
And the man shouted, "God, show me a miracle!" And a life was born, but the man did not know...
So, the man cried out in despair, "Touch me, God, and let me know that You are here!"
Whereupon God reached down and touched the man.. But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on...
Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect.

A Purple Hat

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck
(written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
I would have talked less and listened more.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.
I would have eaten the popcorn in the "good" living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.
I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.
I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.
I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner." There would have been more "I love you's." More "I'm sorry's."
But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it...live it...and never give it back. Stop sweating the small stuff.
Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what.
Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.
Let's think about what God HAS blessed us with. And what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally. I hope you all have a blessed day.

The Years Of A Woman
Age 3: She looks at herself and sees a Queen.
Age 8: She looks at herself and sees Cinderella.
Age 15: She looks at herself and sees an Ugly Sister (Mum I can't go to school looking like this!)
Age 20: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"- but decides she's going out anyway.
Age 30: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly" - but decides she doesn't have time to fix it, so she's going out anyway.
Age 40: She looks at herself and sees "clean" and goes out anyway.
Age 50: She looks at herself and sees "I am" and goes wherever she wants to go.
Age 60: She looks at herself and reminds herself of all the people who can't even see themselves in the mirror anymore. Goes out and conquers the world.
Age 70: She looks at herself & sees wisdom, laughter and ability, goes out and enjoys life.
Age 80: Doesn't bother to look. Just puts on a PURPLE hat and goes out to have fun with the world.

SOMEONE

Someone came knocking At my wee, small door; Someone came knocking, I'm sure-sure-sure; I listened, I opened, I looked to left and right, But nought there was a-stirring In the still, dark night; Only the busy beetle Tap-tapping in the wall, Only from the forest The screech owl's call, Only the cricket whistling While the dewdrops fall, So I know not who came knocking, At all, at all, at all.

GUARDIAN ANGELS

When Angels sense you need them, And Angels always do,
They come, unseen, from everywhere To help and comfort you...
They hover close beside you Till all your cares are gone,

Till they can see you're ready Once again to carry on...
But one, at least, stays with you As your constant friend and guide,

For GUARDIAN ANGELS never leave, They're always at your side...
Then some of them may fly away And take their gentle touch,

To other hearts that need The love of Angels very much...
But one, at least, stays with you As your constant friend and guide,

For GUARDIAN ANGELS never leave, They're always at your side.

Oh, Canada

Shortly after arriving at the University of Washington, I joined some new friends on a trip to nearby Vancouver.
It was my first trip outside the United States.
At the border, a guard asked how long we would be staying in Canada. Knowing it would be after midnight when we returned, I asked, "How late will be we be able to get back across the border?

"Any time, ma'am", the guard replied. "We never close Canada."

Short and Sweet

It's Short and Sweet..
It's old but New...
It's from the Heart...
It's meant for You.

Aging Mildred

Aging Mildred was a 93 year old woman who was particularly despondent over the recent death of her husband, Earl. She decided that she would just kill herself and join him in death.

Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly, she took out Earl's old Army pistol and made the decision to shoot herself in the heart, since it was so badly broken in the first place.

Not wanting to miss the vital organ and become a vegetable and burden someone, she called her doctor's office to inquire as to just exactly where the heart would be on a woman.

The doctor said, "Your heart would be just below your left breast. "Later that night, Mildred was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her knee.

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a debate that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 "wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

A Prayer
"I wish for you..."

Comfort on difficult days,
Smiles when sadness intrudes,
Rainbows to follow the clouds,
Laughter to kiss your lips,
Sunsets to warm your heart
Gentle hugs when spirits sag,
Friendships to brighten your being,
Beauty for your eyes to see,
Confidence for when you doubt,
Faith so that you can believe,
Courage to know yourself,
Patience to accept the truth,
And love to complete your life.
God Bless..

God Bless you!

I asked the Lord to bless you As I prayed for you today To guide you and protect you As you go along your way.... His love is always with you His promises are true No matter what the tribulation You know He will see us through So, when the road you're traveling on Seems difficult at best Give your problems to the Lord And God will do the rest.

A little "Piggy" Tale

The lightening flashed...
and the thunder roared
and all the world was shaken...
the little "piggy" put up his tail
and ran to save his "bacon"!!
