Barleywine BIF rules page
So, what are the rules for participating in a Barleywine BIF?
1.  When a new bif is ogranized, send me a beer mail
2.  If selected you must be able to ship to the next person within a week of reciept.  Exceptions can be considered when organizing but if you don't think you can send a package in the 10- 16 weeks a BIF might be open please don't sign up.
3.  Life happens - during the BIF life happens.  Communication is key.  Keep the crew up to date if you have a delay and we'll all get along just fine.

So what kinds of beer should someone send in this BIF?
1.  Barleywines of course!  American or English, either is welcome.
2.  Also included are:
Old ales
Auld Ales
Braggets
Wheat Wines
Other - I include an other category for funky creations such as DFH Fort, World Wide Stout or other unusual high ABV brews a participant would care to share.  If you wonder what this might include check the BIF pages and you can see what was sent before.
3.  Homebrew - is always welcomed but is considered an extra to the BIF.  See below for more clarification.

So, how many beers should be sent?
The basic rule is 8-10 beers or approx with the way prices have gone up these days beers $50 to $80 in value.  Homebrews are considered welcomed but extras if sent.  As with any BIF if you feel inclined to send more the recipient is always appreciative.  Beer Karma has a way of coming around when you least expect it.

Are there other rules?
Yes -
*  Have fun, relax and have a barleywine.
