"Who Knew It Would End This Way?"
by: Seosaimhín
I can't believe it's been a week,
Since I've felt your last kiss upon my cheek.
The tears now run down my face,
At a steady even flowing pace.
Who knew it would end this way
We were together every night and day.
How can this be?
Why would you do this if you really loved me?
Who knew it would end this way,
They found your body yesterday.
Why'd you jump?
Why'd you do it?
This time you really blew it.
In the water your body did float,
Nowhere near a Coast Guard boat.
Now I sit here alone in my room,
With no light to drive away the gloom.
Who knew it would end this way,
With my beloved found in the bay.
