"Love"
by: Deanna
My life has changed
In ways more than one.
A war is starting
That means winter is to come.
But not in my heart,
for it is still spring.
for you and I know
What you touch does bring.
As you walk by, I smell your sweet scent,
That was when I knew you were my Godsent.
Flowers bloom from under your feet,
As raindrops disappear in an easy defeat.
Whenever I see you,
Even from afar.
I feel a certain peace,
Because I know where you are.
Though there is this thing that burns inside,
It burns my heart and will never subside.
When I know I can't see your smiling face,
This burning worsens at a steady pace.
Ah, this thing I know,
And know it well.
This thing I know,
Only time can tell.
This thing is LOVE,
and could it be?
This thing called love,
Has happened to me?
Only in my dreams,
Oh dreams so sweet.
Did our love truly steam,
Or did we even meet?
But now my love has grown so strong,
This love of ours has long to go on.
Mark my words for it's truth I speak,
This love of ours we need not seek.
Before you go I must confess,
I did not mean for this awful mess.
Because here we are in love and war,
But together, we'll be forever more.
