He was Michael Flatley's understudy,
who took his place.
The younger one
with the very gorgeous face!
After Michael fell backstage,
John went out to face the crowd.
Beat Don Dorcha and won Saorise's heart,
And at the end, took a great big bow.
The Michael made Troupe 2,
and John was sent to dance on that tour.
So he could delight audiences everywhere,
and show the world more and more.
But what about Oxford?
and his life back in Brimingham?
I wonder if he ever dreamed
of becoming a famous chemistry man.
So at the end of Troupe 2's tour,
John looked up for the last time,
Shot his finger up in the air,
with his face all full of wonder and kind.
Smiled at everyone,
and looked back at his dancing friends.
Then up came the fireworks,
and John was gone - and that was the end.
Or so we all think,
but maybe one day,
We will see him back on tour,
Thrilling audiences once more.
