2003 Truman Invitational
The 19th Annual Truman Invitational was a huge success with over 850 runners completing the 2.1 mile course.  The race was held on a beautiful Saturday morning with the daytime high at 85 degrees.  All athletes were treated to a watermelon feast at the conclusion of the varsity boys race.

Some of the highlights included the Liberty boys team taking home the first place team trophy in the varsity race.  The overall winner was senior Pat Tweedy of Rockhurst High School.  Tweedy ran a time of 9:52 which is good enough for 4th place on the all-time top ten list at the Truman Invitational.

In the varsity girls race Lee's Summit North beat Liberty by 6 points and won the team trophy.  Sophomore Whitney Danze was the first place finisher in the girls race with a time of 12:03.

Great job to all those who competed.  All results are listed below.
