The 18th Annual was held at Swope Park on a sweltering Saturday morning. More than 900 competitors completed the 2.1 miles race. Liberty's boys team placed five runners in the top ten and scored a meet record with just 23 points. Individual champion was senior sensation Adam Perkins who broke the meet record with a time of 9:43. The girls team trophy went to Lee's Summit High School for the third consecutive year. The overall champion was freshman Whitney Danze of Liberty. She held off fellow teammate Jamie Hoffman by running the course in the time of 12:06.
