PATRIOT LEAGUE PLAYOFF SEEDINGS

This process is for determining playoff seeding only. It is not used for determining final standings.

                                       TIE BREAKING PROCEEDURE

Two team tie:

If a team has forfeited a game they will be the lower seed.

Head to Head.

If a tie remains, a quality win points system is used.

Ex.: If team A’s record is  3 -10  and they defeated teams B, C and D. If team B won 4 games, team C won 2 and team D won 1, then team A’s quality win points would be 7.

If tie remains, coin flip.

Three teams tie:

If any team has forfeited a game, they will be the lower seed. Two team tiebreaker would then be used.

Record for games played amongst tied teams ( A vs. B, A vs. C, and B vs. C). Any two teams tied after, are resolved by the two team tie process.

If three teams remain tied, a quality win points system is used.

If three teams remain tied, a coin flip will be used.
