PATRIOTS FOR GORE NEWS

The Patriots For Gore PAC ran ads to publicize the write-in effort for the January 27th primary in NH. The ads ran from January 19th through the 27th on WPKX in Concord, NH. We also reached out to NH voters via a mailing effort. Thank you to all who worked so hard on this effort. Check back here for further information on what we are doing at Patriots For Gore regarding other write-in states.

UPDATE:
A figure of 1271 "other" votes from the NH primary was reported in Fosters online. We don't know for certain how many in that figure were for Mr.Gore, as the results of the write-in tally have not been posted yet to the NH SOS Election site. My conversation with them did disclose however, that Mr.Gore did get some votes. We won't know how many however, until the final totals are posted, hopefully by next week.

UPDATE: February 2, 2004:
It is logical to then assume, that the 1271 "other" total in Fosters, was a total of all votes cast for write ins including those candidates already on the ballot. There are also 92 votes listed in the scatter column for President. My talk with the SOS office in NH revealed that those votes are not disclosed, and should anyone wish to know if Al Gore got any or all of those votes, they would have to physically count them. It is possible he also had votes in this column as well. The link below also shows that Al Gore got 200 write-in votes for VP. This is very encouraging, as it shows that our effort in NH had an effect. We must also be aware and remember that Republicans also change party affiliation for the primaries and vote for candidates on the Democratic ticket. That too can skew the results.
THANK YOU, NH.
NH VOTE TALLY/SOS ELECTION OFFICE

Our PAC will now be concentrating its efforts in New Mexico as their primary is February 3rd. Their caucus allows a write-in on their ballot, therefore, we are continuing with our outreach there by running radio ads, flyers, etc. We hope to reach as many NM voters in the coming week as we can to spread the word that their voice must be heard!

UPDATE: February 4, 2004:
The results of the NM caucus per the NM Democrats site shows 460 uncommitted votes, and 8,403 provisional votes. PFG is in the process of investigating who these votes were for.
NM VOTE TALLY/NM DEMOCRATS

UPDATE: February 19th, 2004:
Wisconsin tallies their write in votes in a "scatter" column like NM does. Therefore, it will take a bit of time to be able to assess if Al Gore got any write in votes in Wisconsin. This site will be updated however, as soon as such information if possible to be accessed has been given to us, which should be after the certification of votes on March 6, 2004.

UPDATE: February 26th, 2004
Patriots For Gore is now conducting a letter writing campaign to all superdelegates in this country who have a delegate vote at the Democratic National Convention this July. This will require sending out over 700 letters to various members of Congress, Governors, State Representatives, and DNC members. While we have received the help of a few new recruits to our cause (THANK YOU), we still need more sincere dedicated Americans who believe their voices should count to help with this endeavor. Please visit the AL GORE SUPPORT CENTER for more information on how you can help us with this most important cause.

A thank you must also go out to all the dedicated members of this PAC who are contributing their time and talents to this effort. It wouldn't go very far without them.

Al Gore to Expose Bush on Environment, Global-Warming
1:14 PM PST
From PRNewswire
New York Speech Sponsored by MoveOn.org & Environment2004 Thursday, Jan. 15 at Noon
NEW YORK, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Vice President Al Gore will deliver a major address attacking the Bush Administration's policies on global warming and the environment at the historic Beacon Theatre in New York City on Thursday, January 15. The speech is being co-sponsored by MoveOn.org and Environment2004.
Mr. Gore will issue an indictment of the Bush administration's inaction on global warming, linking the issue to U.S. national security. He will show that global warming is happening right now, and yet the President is choosing to help his coal- and oil-company supporters rather than advance modern technologies that can affordably solve this critical problem. The speech will also explore the administration's deliberate attempts to mislead the public as it attacks basic environmental laws and protection.
This is a free event, but attendance is open only to members of MoveOn.org and Environment2004 who have RSVP'd, and to credentialed journalists. Journalists may alternatively listen to the speech by phoning in. Members of the media planning to attend the event or join the listen-in conference call MUST RSVP BY EMAIL to [email protected] or [email protected].
Gore's previous two speeches for MoveOn.org addressed the credibility of the administration and its attacks on civil liberties.

TEXT OF AL GORE'S SPEECH ON THE ENVIRONMENT

RNC ASSAILS GORE SPEECH

Once again, the Republican party dismisses this issue to care more about assailing the truthful words of Mr. Gore, calling it "hate speech." How absurd, and how totally expected. This is a mail I sent off to the RNC. Their partisanhip is not serving this country well.

Mr. Gillespie;
I just love how only the truthful critiques of Bush are highlighted by the media and your organization to once again twist Mr. Gore's words. It shows nothing has changed since 2000 with your party no matter how much you all try to cover up your own partisanship. Will the RNC admit that Gore praised Theodore Roosevelt, a Republican, and stated truthfully that through many administrations since of both parties, environmental laws had been followed, but that it was this administration that has done all in its powerful to secretly break and change these laws? Do you deny it? There was nothing hateful or partisan in what Gore said. His speech was brilliant, informative, truthful, and did lay out a plan for the future on this topic as he has been doing so on this topic for the past 25 years! Mr. Gore also laid out solutions in his talk for climate change, but I guess you at the RNC weren't paying attention, because out of partisan hate you were all crouched there just waiting to grab at any straw to validate that hate. I suppose as well, that you, Mr. Gillespie by stating that Al Gore did not lay out a solution, also then admitted there was a problem! Bush doesn't seem to think there is, so perhaps you ought to be worrying more about the fact that Bush is a failure in this area, and save some of that criticism for where it belongs. Either that, or as usual, it was way too intellligent and truthful for some of you to comprehend. However, this is simply more proof that the Republican party knows the stature Al Gore has with Americans. You never miss a chance to respond to his speeches for all your talk of his being "irrelevant." How very telling. It is also very telling that you care more for defending the lies of this administration over discussing the issues presented. If that isn't partisanship, I don't know what is. This IS a serious issue, and perhaps the most crucial issue of this century. You won't get that point across by assailing the truth. Mr. Gore's words are needed in the public exchange so that Americans of all politics know what is happening to their world. Climate change knows no political party, and it is effecting everyone's world. Perhaps it is time the RNC realized that.
Thank you,
Jan Moore,
Patriot For Gore
