Pertinent Urban Planning Work Experience

 

9/00 - Present Transportation Planning Intern, Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority      

· Assigned to the office of Countywide Planning & Development (CP&D) working in the Congestion Management Program to conduct analysis of countywide (89 municipalities). Develop/modify spreadsheet or database to track new developments; assist with developing/distributing Policy Advisory Committee packages; update CMP contact database; provide ongoing liaison with local and intrastate technical staff; and conduct research related to the CMP program.

2/98-9/98 Research Intern, National Veterans Foundation, Los Angeles, CA

· Conducted extensive analysis based on internet and other research and submitted a report of findings on Korean firms in a position to potentially donate support to the NVF.

· Participated in strategy planning for purposes of fundraising, intern development, and Web Page Development.

· Acted as liaison between Michael Young, Director of NVF operations and local business affiliates.

6/92-9/92 Intern, Dept. of Health Services, Health/Childcare Review Services, Phoenix, AZ

· Engaged in legislative research, worked on group projects relative to regulation development, land use issues, health care licensure policy analysis, conducted phone interviews and data entry and generally assisted office operations.
