Ephriam P. Patrick

Ephriam P. Patrick (b.1852 - D. Dec 02, 1924)
Born in Ohio (possibly in Vinton Co., his parents are listed in the 1850 and 1860 census in Clinton Twp.). He grew up there and moved to Milton Twp. with his parents somewhere between 1860 and 1870. He married Emma S. Phetteplace (b.1855 - d.1943) on July 17, 1873 in Wellston, Ohio (I have a copy of their marriage record). They had 10 children together. Ephriam died on Dec 02, 1924 in Wilkesville Twp. (Vinton Co.) Ohio, of Bronchi Pneumonia at the age of 73 years 9 months and 3 days and is buried in Ridgewood cemetery. During his lifetime he was a coal miner and farmer. Emma died in 1943 and is buried along side her husband in Ridgewood. She was a housewife most of her lifetime. Her father James Madison Phetteplace served with the 23rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company I, during the Civil War from Jul 06, 1864 to Jul 07, 1865 (I have a copy of his discharge paper and I am in the process of getting information on his pension application files from the National Archives in Washington D.C.). Emma remarried in 1926 at the age of 71, to George Gilmore, in Vinton Co. Here is Ephriam’s obituary as it appeared in the McArthur Republican Tribune in December of 1924.
