| Heat , strong headwind and people everywhere | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| From Delhi, we cycled in three days to Nepal. First it was very flat, and just before Pokhara we started to climb. The landscape became more and more beautiful, with rice paddies everywhere. In Pokhara we did a trekking in the Himalaya with our friend Samuel. And then in 2 days we cycled to Kathmandu. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| We stayed in the old city, which was beautiful. With Samuel we visited Patan, Bhaktapur and Bodnath, the biggest stupa in Asia. We ate momo's at the old square, where there was a great atmosphere. But after a few days we got tired of the big city and we decided to cycle on. |

| We started with a big mountain pass of 2540 meters. The road was peaceful and went through rice paddies and small villages. On the top we had a view over the Himalaya. And then it was 60 kilometers downhill. Great!! The last 600 kilometers to the border of India were flat again. Which sounds great but was not. We really prefered the quiet and peaceful mountain pass... |

| The disadvantages of the plain were: - The heath (40 to 45 degrees constantly) - The strong headwinds - People everywhere, who gave you no privacy - Buses and trucks that blow the horn in your ear - Shitholes with bad hotels and bad food |

| So after 600 kilometers, we were really sick and tired af it all. We passed the border to India, but the traffic was too much to bare. We weren't enjoying ourselves, so we decided, what the hell...We are going to Thailand!! And that is where we are now, relaxing, eating great food and having a great time. That is what it's all about, right? | ||||||||||||||||||||||
