I find a lot of artistic inspiration in the woods of my home. When I let the peace and the green seep into me, then the art can come flowing out of me. What I want to convey in my paintings of nature is that connection... that same "stream of life" that connects us to the natural world. We are not here for domination over nature, but to immerse ourselves in it and cherish it.
I want my art to convey the exhilaration of the wild summer storm... or the joy in the way the flowers seem to twine and dance up out of the ground. I hope that when you look at the painting you get the same aesthetic experience that you get when you look at a glorious sunset... you take a deep breath and for one moment you understand what its *all* about.
