The ice cold beer Maria served us with on arival was the most welcome drink I have ever had.
The Ave Maria, was basic but clean and our room boy Anthony looked after us well.
Directly opposite the Ave Maria there is a bar and restaurant called The moonlight. This was to be our base for our three week holiday. We took breakfast there everyday, used it as a meeting place and dined and relaxed there most evenings.
The food at The Moonlight is magnificent and we made some great freinds there, not least the owners Santana and Theresa, the owners of The Moonlight.
We took several taxi rides with Sunil, to some beautiful destinations, such as, co co beach, Old Goa, Anjuna and Palolem beach, where we stayed in a tree house on the beach for only 300 rps
The Goan people are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
The Quality of the food in the restaurants is superb and we particulary recommend The Moonlight, China house and Claudina's beach shack.
We love Candolim and all of its people, we will always return to "Our little piece of Heaven" and cannot wait to meet our freinds at The Moonlight Bar & Restaurant again.
