I was born in Kansas in 1959, and since then my life has mostly been about writing: finding time to write, finding things to write about and finding work to support my writing habit.
I can't remember a time when I wasn't fooling around with words. In 1976-78 I was a feature writer for the Frank W. Cox High School newspaper in Virginia Beach. I studied English and Business at Rappahannock Community College in Virginia. Between raising three terrific children, I've written four novels and countless poems. My poetry appears or is scheduled to appear in: Ancient Heart Magazine, Poetry Sharings Journal, The Baroque Review Magazine, Voices Magazine, Voices: Spirit of Strength and numerous other publications.
My poetry has received several awards including: a Special Recognition Award for the 9th VoicesNet Anthology International Poetry Competition; Featured Poet of Poetry Sharings Journal for the month of August/04.
