A Smile I Can't See
Letters of the alphabet that smile
Off white plastic keys.
That's what showed me who you were.
They made you real,
A friend that I can't see.
When I was alone, and felt like I could Cry,
You played away to make me laugh,
And change gray to a blue sky.
I thank you much,
What I feel you will never know.
I can't say it.
Words won't describe
They flow so easily into my letters,
Sent by Panacom Direct,
To a smile I can't see.
To sympathy that helps me,
To humour that turns a frown upside down.
My friend you are very dear,
I can only say this way,
And let you know,
Tell eyes that can only see.
I can cope,
I can deal,
I learned so much from you.
Invisible, through the mirror
Of a computer screen.
One day I'll tell you, to
A smile I can see.
