Course Description:   Introduces computer software and programming. Covers programming for the    microcomputer using high level languages such as VISUAL BASIC. Teaches computer solutions of mathematical problems in applications such as circuit analysis and static equilibrium

            Course Objectives:  After completing this course the student should be able to --

·         Develop planning documents such as Flow Charts, Pseudocode, and Hierarchy Charts in preparation for writing program code.

·         Develop complex programs using multiple inputs and databases.

 

            Course Content:

·         Introduction to Computers and Visual Basic

·         Fundamentals of Programming in Visual Basic

·         Controlling Program Flow

·         Arrays

·         Miscellaneous Features of Visual Basic

 

            Additional Information:    The knowledge of programming has become more important as the industry gravitates to Programmable Logic Controllers.
