Course
Description: Provides comprehensive study of the purpose and
interpretations of the National Electric Code as well as familiarization and
implementation of various charts, code rulings and wiring methods including
state and local regulations.
Course Objectives: This course
will cover the fundamentals of reading and interpreting the NEC and its
applications in problem solving situations. The student will become familiar with
the NEC by applying the rules to practical installations that the student has
been exposed to, described by the instructor, or
through the use of graphics or photos of actual installations and associated
equipment. By completion of this
course and it’s follow-on course, the student
should be able to perform adequately enough on the Electricians Certification
Tests to become certified.
