The photo on the left is of LSD 32 leaving the James River mothball fleet to be prepped for sinking. MARAD has dozens of these ships that could be sunk as reefs and dive sites.
The Speigel Grove - LSD 32
Landing Ship Dock 32 - Built in the Ingalls Shipyard in 1956,
she served until 1989. On the slate to be sunk for seven
years, she  prematurely sank May 17th, 2002, landing
upside down with the bow jutting 40' skyward. After a
million dollar effort by Resolve Marine of Fort Lauderdale,
she layed on her starboard rail until Hurricane Dennis
  rolled her into an upright position in 2005.

The United States Coast Guard Cutter Duane
A 327' Treasury Class Cutter. she was built at the Philadelphia Navy Yard in 1936
and served  valiantly from WW2 through the Mariel boatlift in 1980. She was named
after the 11th US Secretary to the Treasury. She was decommisioned in 1985 and
sank stern first in 120' in 1987 by being filled with water. She landed upright and is
an excellent dive. Viz is usually good although the current can approach 2 knots
on occasion.
