My parents immigrated here in the 60's and come from two small towns named San Donato and Rendianra. We own a very popular italian restaurant here in Poughkeepsie, NY.. Not to far from NYC. Great job on homepage! Was doing my own family search when I ran across the Kibbe link to your site. This is the first time I've run across one by accident!! My husband William is descended from Elisha Kibbe through Isaac Kibbe I! My husband just finished his search in time for our small family reunion on July 4th of this year here in Houston. This branch of the Kibbes had a very intresting history and played a minor role in Texas bid for indepe dence from Mexico. FYI there are more descendents of the same branch here in the Houston and South Lousiana area.

Great Website. Seems fantastic to find a fellow Milanese. My grandparents, Gaetano Merlo and Ida Gianella came from either Milano or Genoa. Am having a very difficult time tracing in Italy. Since they both passed away as well as my father (and I never learned Italian) I have no one to talk to about my ancestors. By any chance has anyone come across the names: Gianella, Merlo, Cucco, and Puricelli. They were either from Buscate Milano or Varase Italy. Any ideas out there?

Hi, I am looking for information on the LISLE family. John Lisle married Alicia Beconsawe before 1630. They had a daughter, Margaret b. 1630 in Hampshire, UK who married Robert Whitaker. They had two sons that I know of Joshua Walker Whitaker and Jeremi h Whitaker. Joshua married Jane B. Parker abt. 1695 in England. We would like to share information on William Whitaker Jr. and his two wives and 15 children. We think my husb nd may be a descendant of his youngest child, Joshua, b 1783. Bob's Joshua was born that year in NC, went to Georgia by 1808 to Richmond and Columbia Counties, died there in 1852.
