I was born in Texas where my Dad was serving in the Air Force at the time. Because of his lifetime career choice, I had the opportunity to live in various places and my "home town" wasn't established until I became an adult. In later years, my parents relocated to Nauvoo, Illinois and that's where I still like to call my "home town", even though I havn't lived there for many years. In 1991, I graduated from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA with my associate degree in Interpreting for the Deaf. I interpreted for ten years following graduation, until I decide to go back to school and persue my Bachelor's degree. I attended my junior year at Iowa State University in Ames, IA and it was there I became acquainted with computers more and all they could do for me. I am "mom" of three of THE neatest kids and "Grandma Paula" to two awesome grandchildren. They have blessed my life with so much joy and happiness. When I retire, I would like to serve a mission for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But, for now, I just keep learning about life and loving the people I cherish with all my heart. |
