Use FlashGet (formerly JetCar) to manage your
Internet downloads. It's convenient, easy to use, and free! This handy
system-tray utility provides a small, always-on-top drop box and
monitors your Clipboard for downloadable URLs. When a download is
detected or dropped onto the box, FlashGet speeds up the download
process (especially for high-speed modems) by splitting the file into
several pieces and transferring them simultaneously. If you'd rather,
you can use FlashGet as a download queue, saving dropped and intercepted
transfers for later. A scheduler is included to automate the process.
You can even have the program terminate your connection and shut down
the computer when the transfer is complete. FlashGet also features an
Explorer-style FTP client for downloading files, and another
Explorer-style interface you can use to categorize and manage your
downloaded files. Other features include easy access from Internet
