GUERRERO
Sea Food and Sunsets
Leaving early in the morning to avoid the traffic I stop to rest and to take this photo. Imagine how beautiful this bay must have been in its natural state before all the resort hotels you see were built.!!!

The best tortillas in Mexico are found along Guerreros Pacific Coast. They are hand made and prepared fresh for you when you order your meal.

Each days ride ended a with a few cold beers at a beachside restaurant;  listening to the surf while swaying in a hammock.
Playa Ventura
Hwy 200 twists and turns with intermittant traffic that arrives in bunches. Here Basil stops to admire the coastline in the distance which is often visible from this road.

Finding good food is never a problem in Mexico. Road-side food vendors are around every corner.

Sunsets and more sunsets. Each day ended with yet another glorious sunset.
Sunsets and more Sunsets
On this 2 weeks cycling trip in January 2004 I followed Highway 200 exploring the beaches and towns along La Costa Grande north of Acapulco and La Costa Chica south of Acapulco.

Just a few km's south of Acapulco this fishing village makes a quieter and prettier alternative to noisy and crowded Acapulco.
I generally stayed on Hwy 200 for most of the trip except for a few stretches where it was possible to use a quieter less travelled road. Unfortunately on two occasions washed out bridges ment hiring a local to row me across to the other side.
Along the Costa Chica this was my favourite beach. Just a couple of very small hotels and restaurants and an endless white sand beach.
