I don't know where the 'naming" post is, although I did lurk past it. 1 out of 4 very important events to my career and family has come to pass this week, so I'm feeling a lot more relaxed about things, and have a bit more time to surf the web, and to deal with the "new" look for these boards.

My nicks, with explanations:

B13Guy: Ancient nick, the first one I grabbed when I came to the TNT site in January, 98. I wanted something mysterious, so I went with Bureau 13. I'd been a big fan of Special Agent Cooper of the FBI, and I kind of modeled B13Guy after that. Except that, being a part of B13, the persona was on Clarke's side during the civil war etc. A rotten Psi-Cop, at that.

BrotherDiscotic: B13Guy got himself into some trouble in the Civil War, and got himself mind-wiped by a war-crimes tribunal. He was returned to the TNT B5 community as one of Brother Theo's monks, to serve as he could. Really, I was getting tired of keeping the B13 thing alive, and needed a change. I was also wrapped up in a flame-war, and figured that a new name would calm things down. Eventually, I reconciled with my adversary, and we got on famously on these boards. "Discotic" has several connotations: discord, disco, and, as it turns out there is an exotic liquid crystalline phase called "discotic" that I'd been doing some heavy research on.

ExMachina: I lurked these boards for a couple of weeks disguised as ExMachina. I'd taken BrotherDiscotic to TrekWeb in search of O. Deus, and I found him. So, on the way back to this board, it seemed appropriate: O. Deus , Ex Machina.
