The Detroit Red Wings are firm supporters of youth hockey in both the Detroit Metro area as well as in the entire state of Michigan. The club's support of local hockey associations extends from promotional nights geared to youth teams, numerous players and staff participating in clinics for youngsters and as well individual involvement with youth teams across the state as financial supporters and volunteer coaches. From top to bottom, the team strongly supports activities such as youth hockey which provide kids with the opportunity to have fun, learn good sportsmanship, develop leadership skills and find positive role models in the numerous volunteers devoted to youth hockey across the nation.
