Chapter Sixteen:  In This Very Room
Hermione was steered up the drive of the Shrieking Shack, and herded around to the back of the house. A deep voice to her left said, "Denailsia." One-by-one, the nails that boarded up the back door flew out and the door fell in.

"Come on," said the voice on her left. Hermione did what they said, but she was so terrified that her legs gave way and she fell into the house. She wasn't afraid of the house, she had already been inside in her third year. She was more terrified of what these men were going to do to her.

Up the stairs they walked, until they reached a bedroom, with two velvet chairs and a small bed.

"Sire. . .we have her." The man on her right unmasked himself and she looked over to see who it was. An older but still stupid looking Goyle was looking over her shoulder at the chair on the right.

"Good," said a voice from the chair on the right.

"Where's our pay?" Hermione guessed, and her guess was confirmed in an instant, that Crabbe's father was under the cloak on the right.

"Crabbe, Goyle, is that all you worry about? My master plan must be completed before you receive your pay."

"So sorry, forgot, sir," replied Goyle hastily.

"Now, leave, so that I may meet Ms. Granger properly." At these words, Crabbe and Goyle left.

"Ah, Ms. Granger, have a seat." A wand waved and a hard-backed chair zoomed in the room.

Hermione took a seat, and began wondering how she would get out of this mess. She tried to remember her spells, unless she needed them, but all she could think of was "Lumos" and a fat bit of good that would do her. What was she going to do, blind them to death?

"But first, we must get Harry Potter. And you must lead me to him. Accio Parchment!" A piece of parchment flew off of the roll-top desk and into the cloaked man's hand. "Let's be off." He lead the way, followed by Hermione, and then by the other cloaked man who was sitting in the other velvet chair. They went down all the way to where the basement would be, and then a secret door opened and they began walking through a secret tunnel.

"Clever, isn't it? My dear friend here told me all about this map and the secret tunnels."

Hermione gasped. She knew exactly who it was underneath those cloaks. And one of them she was most desperate not to face.
