This year has been an exciting one! Patrick received the "Personnel Specialist of the Year" award.  We moved from the three bedroom house on Minuteman to a four bedroom on Liberty.  We had so many wonderful helping hands from church that the job was done in only 2 hours!  Our new house had a big back yard with a slope to it that Derek could slide down when it snowed!  Noah loved playing outside with his toys and swimming in his little pool.  Noah had his first birthday, enjoying his cake and all his presents with Dad, Mom and Derek.  The Lord blessed us with another addition to our family in March - Naomi Lael!  She came into the world on March 12 at 11:35am, weighing in at 6 lbs 11.9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.  She had lots of dark hair, too.  Naomi was well received by her brothers!  We found out a little bit later that the USAF would soon be moving us from Utah to Virginia.  We searched and searched, and finally found the right home. July 31 came   upon us so fast....the packers were here to pack everything up into boxes.  Naomi just watched everything from her swing, not saying a word.  Noah tried to help, but we decided to let him play outside for a while.  The big truck came the next day and loaded all the boxes up into it.  We stayed in TLF (temporary lodging facilities) for a few days and on August 4th we were off!  Everyone did well on the trip...the grouchies came for the first half of the second day, but they were soon gone with the first nap!  We were blessed!!! It was a good trip!  We arrived in Virginia on the 8th and there it was...our new home.  A two story cape cod, three bedrooms upstairs, one downstairs, a bath & a half - and a mountain for a backyard! Glasgow is a small town - we upped the population to  1145! Since we've moved in, we've gotten involved with Glasgow Baptist Church.  Derek attends the 6th grade at Maury River Middle School and is learning the French Horn.  He's also involved with Destination Imagination, a problem solving team (kind of a brain bowl thing).  Patrick's doing well with his job - he even gets to go work out on his lunch break!  October was a busy month too!  Naomi sat up on the 2nd, army crawled on the 4th, said Dada on the 19th, got her first tooth on the 21st and Noah broke his left leg on the 23rd.  Praise the Lord, he's since gotten the cast off and is doing well!  We had a memorable Thanksgiving when a squirrel decided to climb up the power pole out back and snuggle up in the transformer...BOOM!  We lost power for about an hour while a new fuse was installed.  Derek was to have performed his first band concert on December 13th, but we had some sleet/ice and we're waiting for the rescheduling date on that. We had a major computer malfunction and we're in the process of starting over with a new pc...so if you have any interesting bits you want to send us - you know, the awesome stories that get passed around, recipes, you name it - feel free!  We're looking forward to what this next year holds in store for all of us, and to hearing from you! If we don't see you before then, See you in Heaven!  God Bless and Happy New Year!

Matthew 1:21
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Luke 2:10-12
Oh, Come let us adore him....
