When I first saw CAD drawings in the early eighties, I wasn't too impressed.  It seemed like a lot of work just to do what I could draw by hand in a matter of minutes.  But in the late eighties, CAD had developed to a more user-friendly tool, and I began using Intergraph to produce civil engineering drawings. By 1990 I was using AutoCAD and beginning to produce electronic drawings as fast as I could do them by hand.

Here are a few samples of board drafting, CAD drawings, and illustrations for technical publications.
