Thomas James FITZPATRICK

This is the date given in the 1921 Census for St. John's which is where Thomas lived at that time. This date is only eight months from his next sibling and should be checked.
According to these census Winnifred Peddel of Harbour Grace was a servant in the home of Thomas and Mary Fitzpatrick.
According to Judy Fitzpatrick, granddaughter of Thomas, he was a grocer at 120 Gower Street in St, John's, which his son Thomas ran until it was sold.

Anne died 9 April 1930 at age 43 from hemorrhaging, giving birth to her namesake. Her husband, James, was at the
seal hunt at the time and knew nothing about it until he returned some weeks later.

George went to the US at age 16 and worked for the RR in Seattle.

Grampa Tapper spent 30 years in Alaska as a commercial fisherman, much of the time in Bristol Bay.
Linda said her grandfather was born Dec. 12, 1873 Dave Rose found a bapt. record which says George was bapt. Dec. 7, 1876.

Robert moved to Port St Joe Florida, where he was the harbor master. He married the strong willed Mariah and had children.

My grandfather was Captain Robert Tapper (a fisherman) born in the 1880's. He married Marie Ellicot from Ireland in New York in the early 1900's. They lived in Brooklyn, had three sons, Robert, William and George, moved to Jacksonville, FL and ended up in Port St. Joe, FL
