This is my second attempt at a page. On my first attempt, I started out of my frustration of providing content on MSN3.1, the Astronomy Forum. I was the executive assistant to the Forum Manager. That was back when being a member of MSN didn't necessarily mean that you had access to the internet. So I tried to put up a varied, as well as voluminous, content so that members who didn't have internet access would be well informed. The format of MSN3.1 had me severly limited, and I wanted to do more, but my knowledge and skills were as limited as the venue. So I merely started with the works of the people I knew. I featured the impressive talents of the "Farmer Astronomer" Jim Pennington. Now he has a great site of his own: Jim's Astrophotography Page. My ex-boss, Lenny Abbey also has a personal page at The Compleat Amateur Astronomer. He is now working on software for AAVSO ( American Association of Variable Star Observers )

The first file is a zipped self-extracting collection of wallpaper-sized photos that are mainly from the Hubble Heritage Gallery. The file Slidescr will show up in your Display Properties as a slideshow that you can browse to any one of the photos, and it will cycle repeatedly through the whole collection in the same folder. To the left is a screenshot of what the additional screensaver, Craters looks like after a few minutes of asteroid hits. DOWNLOAD NOW! 3824Kb

| This next file is another collection of Hubble photos that work well with the included screensaver, Slidescrn. They are a completely different collection, so will be a welcome addendum to the above collection. They are both defaulted to create the 800x600 folder that will serve the Slidescr. The obvious star of this file is the screensaver SKYSCRSV. This stand alone screensaver shows the sky as it is right now, and can be configured to show any time zone in the world. It's fascinating for the size (follow the link above for more onformation.). | Screensavers Galore Six of his best in one Unzipper |
This file has Bullets, which isn't astronomy-related, but fun to watch, just the same. Comes complete with sound effects. The Earth screen saver displays an image of the Earth as currently illuminated by the Sun, from a variety of viewpoints. You can view the Earth from the Sun (day side), the night side, from the Moon, or from an arbitrary altitude above any point on the globe specified by latitude and longitude. Day and night regions of the globe are shown based on the current date and time. The image of the Earth shifts location on the screen every 10 minutes to avoid burning in the phosphor in one location.
The "Home Planet Screen Saver",a screen saver which displays the the Earth map with day and night regions and the current position and phase of the Moon
The other three in this zip are the three mentioned and pictured above. They are: "Craters", "Slide Show", and "Sky". Download all six at once in this zipped self-extractor. The self-extactor will put them into your Windows root directory by default. DOWNLOAD NOW! (1.3Mb)

Texas Pillows look wonderful on chairs and couches or can be kept in the car for the kids to nap on. Parents use these pillows to impart a love of Texas to their children so they will learn what Texas is and will appreciate it enough to learn to take care of it. Texas may be the only state whose shape actually has an esthetic quality. Texas Pillows are good gifts or souvenirs for Texas visitors to enjoy.
Put your pointer over the pillow and you'll find: Pillow Gardens are little flower gardens on a pillow. They are one-of-a-kind pieces of art.
