Lazarus! A.R. 3.30.02 Though death did seem so final, cruel fate's last victory, Jesus came to give him life, to set the captive free. Death raged and fumed, and did lash out with bitterness and gall. It looked as though the darkness would surely slay us all. But just as death seemed sure to win, Jesus Christ stood still, And shouted "Lazarus, come forth!" with power and great zeal. The silence of the moment seemed unbearable to me, A man who had been dead, "Alive!" we surely wished to see. Then out of death's cold darkness came stumbling to the light, The man who had been dead four days, now breathing and alive! A wonder! A miracle! An awesome sight to see! Yes, and this same Jesus came to give you life eternally. So give yourself to Jesus. Your mind, your heart, your will. And death will never conquer you, for life He will instill!

Ripples A.R. 6/28/02 My life is like a drop of water in a pool. Rippling ever outward run my actions through and through. The choices that I make today may change another's heart. What power have these little drops away from whence they start. Lord, help me take the utmost care with how I live my life; so others may see your wonderous love and come to Jesus Christ.

My Porch Swing Jean Seibert 4.14.02 Is a place where children's laughter fills the air, and memories more precious than gold are made... It's a place where I can shed tears freely, washing away the cares of this world, and feel comfort... It's a place where love and joy are waiting to be shared, if we take the time to stop and rest... It's a place of faith where time has no meaning... When I sit on my porch swing it's like entering the heart of my God!
Have You Ever Stopped To Think? A.R. 8/16/02 Have you ever stopped to think about the leaves upon the trees, Holding ever tightly in the strongest summer breeze? But when the cool of Autumn comes, they quickly do let go. And spiral down onto the ground soon covered by the snow. (Job 40:21-22) Have you ever stopped to think about the clouds which pass on by, Like gentle friends rolling through the fairest weathered sky? But when the blue skies darken and the thunder claps it hands, Those once fair weather friends now seem as angry violent men. (Job 38:24-38) Have you ever stopped to think about the boys and girls that play, So carefree in the warmth of a lazy Summer day? They jump and skip and laugh and run with no fear or grief or sorrow. But time goes by and children grow, and soon they learn to borrow They worries, cares, fears and doubts of thinking of tomorrow. (Proverbs 17:6) Have you ever stopped to think about the Bible on the shelf, That speaks of all these wondrous things, its pages filled with wealth? The Bible is the key to all these mysteries of life; and points us to a loving God whose name is Jesus Christ. On that day He died for us the children laughed and played, Without a thought for this great Man, who for the sinner prayed. The skies grew black like angry men and darkened the fair sky. As on that tree without green leaves our Savior bled and died! What wondrous love God showed for us, displayed at Calvary. Have you ever stopped to think that "This loves for even me"? (Matthew chapter 27)
