You will get the desires of your heart! The human mind and make-up is so complex and efficient that your subconscious mind will work at your hidden goals in your heart even when your conscious mind is not aware of it.

Every time you choose a priority, you are determining what is truly important to you - the desires of your heart. You heart will naturally drift to what is most important to it.

Do you know your heart?

I've come to realize that it doesn't always matter what you pray for as much as it matters what your desire is. You can pray shallow, meaningless, faithless prayers. But what your heart desires, it goes after.

To be more specific, you can pray for salvation with your mouth, but if your heart is really leaning more towards sin, you will end up in sin and out of God.

"God looks at the heart."

Here is my point - Don't bother coming up for prayer if you really don't want the answer with all your heart. Be honest with yourself. What do you really want?

Is getting high more appealing than getting delivered from drugs or alcohol?

Is getting attention more important than getting healed?

Is pleasure more important than righteousness?

If so, don't bother coming up for prayer, because I can't help you.

I believe God will answer believing prayer! I believe God answers sincere prayer! I believe God answers desperate prayer! I believe God answers sold-out, heart-felt prayer!

Any other kind of prayer is just vain repetitions.

No other kind of prayer counts.
