In His Presence

 

What is it like to be in the presence of God?

  1. Perfect peace -

Isaiah 26

  1. Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]; because he trusteth in thee.

John 14

  1. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
  1. No condemnation -

Romans 8

  1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

Conviction, yes - condemnation, no

Isaiah 6

5. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.
  1. No fear -

    2. 1 John 4

    18 There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath punishment; and he that feareth is not made perfect in love.

     

     

     

  2. No worry -

    3. Philippians 4

    6 In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

    7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

6. No discontent -

7. No confusion -

1Corinthians 14

33 for God is not [a God] of confusion, but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

  1. No strife, envy, jealousy, etc. -

    2. James 3

    14 But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.

    15 This wisdom is not [a wisdom] that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

    16 For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.
